Did you know YOU are God’s chosen treasure? I personalize the Word when I read it . 1 Peter 2:9 (The Passion Translation) says, But I am God’s chosen treasure- priests who are kings, a spiritual “nation” set apart as God’s devoted ones. He called ME out of darkness to experience His marvelous light, and now He claims ME as His very own. He did this so that I would broadcast His glorious wonders throughout the world.
The Hebrew word segulla, means a special treasure (possession). It’s used to describe guarded wealth indicating the placement of the kings jewels, treasures, etc. in a safe, protected place because of their extraordinary value. God says that each believer is a priest and king, His unique and special treasure above all other treasures.
This is how God sees ME. I’m His jewel, His special treasure above all other treasures.
